Summary

Subtitle edits had no undo or redo. Text edits, timing changes, added cues and deleted cues can now be undone and reapplied within their editor. In the homepage demo, Undo and Redo sit beside the captions track label and match each skin. Text fields keep their normal typing shortcuts.

Testing

  • Edited, dragged, resized, added and deleted captions; undo restored each step and redo reapplied it from the buttons or the keyboard in Chromium and WebKit.
  • Used keyboard shortcuts with two editors; only the focused editor changed and saved subtitles stayed in sync.

Evidence

Before: edit a caption, focus its timeline entry, then press Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z. The edit stays in place.

After: the same actions restore the original text, then reapply the edit. The Undo and Redo buttons beside the captions label show which one is available.
