Summary

Readers had no browser support or package-size reference. Add feature support, browser limitations and measured package sizes to the docs and README.

Safari device support is sourced; Playwright WebKit checks do not establish iPhone behavior.

Testing

  • Exercised the player in Chromium, Firefox and WebKit and checked the documented browser limitations.
  • Reproduced the package sizes and checked that the support and size tables are readable.

Evidence

Open browser support: the feature table and limitations are visible.

Scroll to bundle size: the full package table is readable.

Project Deployment Actions Updated
react-av-uegr Ready Ready Preview Oct 12, 2026 8:20am UTC

Add a Browser support page listing which browser versions support
playback state, fullscreen (including native video fullscreen on
iPhone), picture-in-picture, captions, and HLS and DASH playback,
based on the browser APIs the packages use, with MDN and caniuse
sources and a note on what was checked in Playwright Chromium,
Firefox, and WebKit.

Add the measured minified and gzipped size of each package to the
page and the README, and point the comparison page's bundle size
section at the new figures.
