Sift now has a bounded MIT-licensed 1.0 contract, pinned GitHub archive/checksum onboarding, stable local CLI/MCP guidance, and backup-first upgrade instructions. The fresh audit patches only MCP SDK, proxy-addr and source-map-js; collection/storage behavior is unchanged. The mobile footer separates the destructive action from its explanation.
The release workflow verifies source on Windows, Ubuntu and macOS, then installs the same Linux-produced archive on all three. Only a main push may upload a complete draft, verify its asset digests, recheck the current main commit, tag the checked commit and publish last. Downloaded archives include the built interface/backend, license and notices, with no runtime npm dependencies or install scripts.
Validation: fresh frozen install, production build/typecheck, 18 existing tests, zero known audit advisories, clean package and isolated npm command installation, real HTTP/MCP checks, and an extracted-archive browser walkthrough at desktop/mobile sizes. The one-page public retrieval matched an independent HTML fetch. The separate historical 0.1.2 Codex-host check stays explicitly dated; universal host compatibility is not claimed.
