Flaky pre-release gate: binlog listener missing from PROCESSLIST in the myvector_binlog_stop() refusal check #264

Open

Description

@askdba

The pre-release gate check myvector_binlog_stop() refused without CONNECTION_ADMIN; listener still running (scripts/pre-release-test.sh ~line 995) fails intermittently, on unrelated PRs:

Both times the refusal itself is correct. The output has ERROR 1123 ... myvector_binlog_stop() requires the CONNECTION_ADMIN privilege. The second condition fails instead: binlog sessions left: 0. Right after the refused call, no binlog|slave|replica session shows in SHOW PROCESSLIST. The next steps (MYVECTOR_BINLOG_STOP ended the listener's binlog sessions, UNINSTALL succeeded) still pass.

Likely cause: the listener's binlog session is briefly absent, for example while it reconnects after the reinstall a few lines earlier. A single PROCESSLIST sample then reads 0.

Suggested fix: poll for the listener for a few seconds before concluding it stopped. Or compare its connection id before and after the refused call.

Found while working on the Phase 5 PRs (#256). Re-running the job passes.
