The README now teaches how to write an extension, not only how the registry works:

  • Build your first extension: seven steps building Release Radar (latest releases of the GitHub repositories you follow). It covers the manifest, permissions, a required preference and a secret token, logic in lib.ts, a list with preview panel and actions, trying it with backslash dev / backslash run --json, tests, and sharing.
  • Cheat sheet: "I want to… → use", covering the SDK (lists, search, grid, filters, detail, form, no-view commands, arguments, actions and effects, preferences, OAuth, storage, exec, toasts, command subtitles, icons, npm/jsr imports, other languages).
  • What makes a good extension, then publishing, review guidelines, and contributing to this repository.
  • The extension count is gone, since more are coming.
  • The finished example is in examples/release-radar, and CI now formats, lints, type-checks and tests examples/ like extensions/, so the tutorial can't rot. It is not in the registry.

Checked locally: deno fmt --check, deno lint, deno check and deno test pass. The real launcher loads the example (backslash list, backslash run release-radar/releases --json).

The README walks through building Release Radar (manifest, lib, command,
preferences and a secret, permissions, tests, sharing), adds a cheat sheet
of the SDK, what makes a good extension, and how to contribute here. The
example lives in examples/release-radar and CI checks it like the others.
