Big Game Mode 2.3.1.

  • pkgbuild/PKGBUILD: pkgver=2.3.1, pkgrel=1.
  • bigame-engine/Cargo.toml (and Cargo.lock): workspace version 2.3.1.
  • AppStream: a 2.3.1 release entry (2026-10-08), translated in all 29 catalogues.
  • README: version badge and What's new in 2.3.1; 2.3.0's notes stay below it.

In this release

Checks

  • cargo test --workspace --locked (863 + 23 + 47), Clippy and rustfmt clean.
  • msgfmt --check --check-format on every catalogue; extract-strings.py --check; the AppStream file merged with the catalogues carries the translations; appstreamcli validate --pedantic passes.
  • The package check compares pkgver, the Cargo version and the newest AppStream release (all 2.3.1).

The AppStream release notes are extracted with the rest; the three new messages are translated in all 29 catalogues and msgfmt --check --check-format passes.
pkgver, the workspace version and the AppStream release agree, as the
package check requires. The release notes and the README's "What's new"
cover what was merged since 2.3.0:

- Turbo comes on without a falcond build that crashes on the processor
  (x86-64-v3 falcond on Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge), and that build is not
  started again until the package changes (#4, #12, #13);
- a falcond that crashes at start is left disabled, and Turbo can be
  turned off after it (#12);
- the Steam runtime's ldconfig is not taken for the game (#13);
- fix commands with && no longer log a markup error (#13);
- the BigLinux builders receive only the branches they can build (#14).
