The robots.txt and favicon.ico special cases live inside the user-media/:fname/:class route (cmd/web/main.go, around line 229). That route only matches with a class segment, so the paths crawlers and browsers actually request never reach them.

GET /user-media/robots.txt returns 404. GET /user-media/robots.txt/thumb returns 200 "OK".GET /user-media/favicon.ico returns 404. GET /user-media/favicon.ico/thumb redirects to the static favicon.
Expected: both paths are served without the class segment.
