Merge order:

  1. Trace formal parameters whose location is a register fjalar#90 together with Update flex goal files for Fjalar's tracing of register parameters #900.
  2. Close Update Kvasir goal files: omit formal parameters whose location is a register #913 without merging (its goal files are now identical to Update flex goal files for Fjalar's tracing of register parameters #900's) and delete Daikon's unsupported-location-op branch.
  3. Omit a formal parameter whose location contains an unsupported DWARF operation fjalar#95.

Companion to codespecs/fjalar#95, which makes Kvasir omit a formal parameter whose DWARF location it cannot read, such as DW_OP_reg*. GCC keeps a register parameter in a register even at -O0, so yy_bp (bc), and str, nacc, sym, etc. (flex) are omitted.

This updates the goal files for the operating systems that CI tests (Ubuntu 26.04 and Rocky). The flex .comp goal files for other operating systems are not updated.

Fjalar now traces formal parameters whose location is a register
(codespecs/fjalar#90). The flex tests have functions with parameters
declared `register`, such as addsym's sym, copy_string's str,
hashfunct's str, and mkentry's state. At -O0, gcc keeps those in
registers, so Fjalar now outputs them. That changes the .counts
line numbers and merges some comparability sets in the .comp files.
…register

Kvasir omits a formal parameter whose DWARF location is unsupported, such as
DW_OP_reg*. GCC keeps a `register` parameter in a register even at -O0.

📝 Walkthrough

The Flex pristine and Rothermel test goals update expected symbol references across several function traces. The counts goals update recorded source-line locations. The recorded ENTER and EXIT totals remain unchanged.

Priority: ⬇️ Low

Change: Other

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to eca7f

This change only updates expected test output for Flex. The updated goals depend on a companion Fjalar change, so land the two changes together to keep the Kvasir tests passing.

Before / after behavior

  • observed — Modified behavior in tests/kvasir-tests/flex-pristine/flex-pristine.comp.goal-Rocky: The addsym entry inventory replaces str_def and string-value references with int_def, sym, table/name fields, and table_size.
  • observed — Modified behavior in tests/kvasir-tests/flex-pristine/flex-pristine.comp.goal-Rocky: The expected addsym locals replace sym, the table name field, and an unindexed next reference with str_def and indexed table references.
  • observed — Modified behavior in tests/kvasir-tests/flex-pristine/flex-pristine.comp.goal-Rocky: The addsym exit inventory now includes integer-definition, symbol, name, and table-size references; it removes the prior string-definition and string-value entries.

…d-location-op

Take register-params' goal files: Fjalar's register-params traces formal
parameters whose location is a register, so they are no longer omitted.

Superseded by #900. With the current codespecs/fjalar#90 and codespecs/fjalar#95, this pull request's goal files are identical to #900's.
