For optimized code, GCC emits location view pairs (DW_AT_GNU_locviews) in .debug_loc before the location lists. display_debug_loc read the section as consecutive location lists starting at offset 0, so it misread the view pairs, ran off the end of the section, and then looped forever past the last compilation unit. Record each location list's offset, and read each list at its offset, once. Stop after the last compilation unit. Add a regression test, location-views-test.sh.
Read location lists only from .debug_loc and only for compilation units before DWARF 5. Sort a copy of each compilation unit's location list offsets, and compute DW_FORM_loclistx offsets directly, because loc_offsets is in attribute order. Record every location list offset even when a DIE lacks a DW_AT_GNU_locviews attribute for it. Treat a pre-DWARF-4 data4/data8 DW_AT_data_member_location as a constant. Convert DW_FORM_loclistx indexes to offsets. The test now checks that GCC emitted location views, that Fjalar issues no warnings, and that Fjalar reads the same location list entries as readelf.

- Record location lists only for compilation units before DWARF 5. - Share the location list form test between the recording and display switches, so both treat a pre-DWARF-4 data member location as a constant. - Warn rather than abort on consecutive DW_AT_GNU_locviews attributes. - Do not free the unallocated have_frame_base array. - Test: keep duplicate location list entries, and ignore warnings that are not about location lists.

For optimized code (
-O1and above), GCC emits location view pairs (DW_AT_GNU_locviews) in the.debug_locsection, before the location lists. Fjalar's simplifieddisplay_debug_locread the section as consecutive location lists starting at offset 0. It misread the view pairs, ran off the end of the section ("Location list starting at offset 0x0 is not terminated"), and then its outer loop continued past the last compilation unit, wheredisplay_loc_listreturned without advancing ("No debug information available for loc lists of entry: 1"), forever. With this pull request, Fjalar records each location list's offset from the
DW_AT_location(and similar) attributes, anddisplay_debug_locreads each list at its offset, once. The loop stops after the last compilation unit.New test
valgrind/fjalar/tests/location-views-test.sh, run bymake fjalar-test, runs Fjalar on a program compiled with-O1and with-O2. It fails without this change (Fjalar does not terminate).Fjalar still prints no values for parameters that optimized code keeps in registers; that limitation is independent of this pull request.
