🚨 Severity: HIGH
💡 Vulnerability: The
buildSandboxEnvmethod inPolicyEngineused case-sensitive matching (startsWith) when stripping sensitive environment variables. This allowed lowercase or mixed-case environment variables (e.g.,aws_access_key_id) to bypass the filter and leak into the untrusted sandbox.🎯 Impact: Attackers could potentially extract sensitive credentials via environment variables if they were set in a non-uppercase format.
🔧 Fix: Modified the filtering logic to convert both the key and the prefix to uppercase before checking for a match, ensuring case-insensitive filtering.
✅ Verification: Ran the test suite
