desktop/loading/index.html, which cot.app shows while the collector starts (or when it can't), still used the old near-black and vermilion theme. It now uses the Signal Forest tokens from src/forest.css: Forest paper background, Newsreader Bold Italic wordmark with the brand dot, Geist and Geist Mono, a quiet button, and Forest Dark under prefers-color-scheme: dark.

Checked all states (starting, held, failed) in light and dark in the browser.

Remove macos/

The Tauri app in desktop/ replaced the Swift app, which only lived on because prepare-collector.sh borrowed its PyInstaller spec and entrypoint.

  • macos/packaging/{cot-collector.spec,collector_entry.py} → desktop/packaging/
  • Removed the Swift sources, macos/build.sh, make_icon.swift and the just mac recipe
  • Updated prepare-collector.sh, desktop/README.md, .gitignore, the spec test and a stale comment

Checked: prepare-collector.sh freezes the collector from the new path (bridge files bundled); the frozen binary serves /health and /cot on a temp port/DB; test_opencode.py passes; ruff clean.

The page the app shows while the collector starts (or can't) still used the
old near-black and vermilion theme. Use the Signal Forest tokens from
src/forest.css: Forest paper background, Newsreader Bold Italic wordmark with
the brand dot, Geist and Geist Mono, quiet button, following the OS light or
dark setting.
The Tauri app in desktop/ replaced the Swift app in macos/, which only lived
on because prepare-collector.sh borrowed its PyInstaller spec and entrypoint.
Move those to desktop/packaging/, drop the Swift sources, build script, icon
drawer and the just mac recipe, and point the docs and test at the new path.
