  • Resolves # (none; follow-up from agent sessions hitting port conflicts)

Please check the following

  • Do the tests still pass? (docs-only change; tests not run)
  • Is the code formatted properly? (docs-only change; lint not run)
  • For New Features:
    • Have tests been added to cover any new features or fixes? (n/a)
    • Has the documentation been updated accordingly?

Please describe additional details for testing this change

Adds a "Running the App" section to AGENTS.md (which CLAUDE.md imports):

  • Boot a separate stack with CUTTLE_PORT_OFFSET in a git-ignored .env.local (inline overrides it); all resolution lives in utils/dev-ports.js.
  • Don't kill the stack already on 8080/1337.
  • Run npm ci in the worktree when dependencies are missing or out of sync; don't symlink node_modules from another checkout.

Chosen over a skill because the guidance is a short standing constraint that should always be in context. Review by reading the new section.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

Document CUTTLE_PORT_OFFSET via .env.local and utils/dev-ports.js, and
instruct agents to npm ci in their worktree rather than symlinking
node_modules.
