Summary

Releases 1.36.1. An unset C-Gate install source now uses a zip already in the share folder. Current Toolkit needs C-Gate 3.8.0, which is not the built-in download. Place that zip in the share folder if Toolkit leaves the network Closed.

Fixes #122.

Changes

  • Use a zip in the share folder when the install source is unset
  • Warn on boot when the installed C-Gate is older than 3.8.0
  • Document the Open Network failure and the 3.8.0 upload path
  • Release 1.36.1

Test plan

  • npm test passes locally with no failures (3240 tests)
  • New code has unit test coverage
  • Existing tests were not broken or removed without justification
  • npm run lint passes
  • npm run typecheck passes

Checklist

  • Version bumped in package.json and homeassistant-addon/config.yaml
  • CHANGELOG.md updated
  • No sensitive data or credentials included

Current Toolkit leaves the network Closed on the built-in C-Gate 3.3.2
because that build does not support OriginateInProject. Reporters fixed it
by installing 3.8.0 from a zip, but a force reinstall with neither install
source selected ignored the zip and downloaded 3.3.2 again. An unset source
now installs a zip that is already in the share folder, and an older
installed C-Gate logs that Toolkit needs 3.8.0.
