What changes for users?

Prepare v0.8.5 preview. POSIX SSH Autopilot runs ordinary commands under the existing policy and asks for risky commands. Allow this session applies to its matching confirm label and updates the UI immediately; deny rules remain blocked. Remote paths are never inspected as host files. Environments requiring individual review explain that requirement.

Opening modal settings no longer activates the obsolete 600-pixel side-panel resize animation, which corrupted long SSH input and cursor placement. Long approval content scrolls inside the common card while its actions stay visible. Update all version declarations/download links and bilingual release guidance. The website explains that its recorded demo depicts the previous SSH approval behavior.

Validation

  • Linux and Apple Silicon Mac: 258 Rust tests, 48 frontend tests, frontend builds and 85 core/xterm parser comparisons passed.
  • Linux production UI + real Rust/PTY/SSH: long ASCII/Unicode input, modal settings, narrow-window approval, session allowance scope, human cursor editing/takeover and original-shell return passed. The existing collaboration harness passed all 12 stages.
  • The optional real OpenSSH authentication/sharing test passed separately, including ordinary execution and an unexecuted privilege-approval request.
  • macOS 27.0 native WebKit/Tauri debug bundle: actual SSH, 7,029-character input, window resizing, Korean/emoji paste and editing, session allowance/revocation, denied commands and same-PID handoff/return passed. This was native UI interaction, not the browser harness.
  • Release tooling: 78 tests, version consistency, source hygiene, documentation links and whitespace checks passed. Release CI/signing/package verification are tracked separately.

See docs/ssh-input-review-results.md and docs/ssh-input-review-results.ko.md for exact evidence and docs/browser-testing.md for reproduction.

Limits or follow-up

Physical-keyboard Korean IME composition and the user's exact SSH server/shell configuration remain unverified. Automated input was insufficient to judge physical-keyboard composition, so no speculative workaround was added. WebKit reported ResizeObserver warnings without a persistent mismatch in the checked interactions.

Native Mac validation used an ad-hoc signed debug bundle. It does not establish installed-release upgrade coverage or all macOS configurations. Windows interactive GUI, non-UTF-8 line editors and full installed-app upgrades remain open. These limits are stated in the v0.8.5 release notes.
