With --warning-mode=all, which the CI scripts use, every Gradle invocation prints about 170 lines of this deprecation warning:

Implicit lookup of properties in parent projects has been deprecated. This will fail with an error in Gradle 10. Property 'libs' was not declared in project ':checker' and was resolved from root project 'checker-framework'.

It is printed twice for each of the 12 subprojects. The allprojects block in the root build.gradle ran errorprone(libs.error.prone.core) and javacJar(libs.javac) in the context of each subproject, so libs was looked up in the parent project. The block now uses a variable rootLibs that is set from the root project's version catalog.

Three other kinds of deprecation warnings remain, and they are not caused by our scripts:

These warnings also appear on master; the build output is the same otherwise.
