docs: Clarify OpenFeature support #419

Description

@tuesd4y

The documentation at https://docs.flipt.io/v2/integration/openfeature says:

While Flipt v2 is backward compatible with Flipt v1, the OpenFeature providers have not yet been updated to support the new environments concept in Flipt v2.
We are currently working on updating the OpenFeature providers to support environments.

However, when looking into the actual openFeature providers, e.g. https://github.com/open-feature/js-sdk-contrib/tree/main/libs/providers/flipt-web the environment tab is indicated as supported.

Could you clarify if the flipt v2 environment feature is still not supported, or if it is currently supported.

    Hey @tuesd4y

    Thank you for your question.

    I would say that the docs describe the general state of environment support across all languages. Some SDKs have already been updated, like the example you provided. The Java SDK got it because of changes in the Flipt SDK. Go has got the changes as well, but they haven't been released yet. If you need support for any other language, please let us know.

    That said, I would also mention that Flipt supports OFREP, so you could integrate it using the OpenFeature OFREP providers.

    Thanks for the quick response, @erka.
    For my use-case the main languages are the web frontend, as well as the Java and Python backend sdks.

    I'll take a look into the OFREP way as well, maybe that works for us.

    I believe the Python provider should support different environments by passing the extra X-Flipt-Environment HTTP header, similar to the Java and OFREP providers.
