Time series results from search_errors, search_logs, search_traces, and search_metrics now point at find_dropped_events for the same org, project, and time range when complete buckets are empty. A gap can mean Sentry dropped the events (quota, rate limits, sampling, filters) rather than none occurring. The hint is omitted when the tool is unavailable. After #1700,
find_dropped_eventscan only be reached through the catalog. This PR adds a hint to telemetry search responses, so the tool still comes up when a result suggests data might be missing. It stays out of the defaulttools/list.When a time series result from
search_errors,search_logs,search_traces, orsearch_metricshas empty buckets, the response now ends with a short Next Steps line. It suggests callingfind_dropped_eventsfor the same org, project, dataset and time range. An empty bucket can mean Sentry dropped the events (quota, rate limits, sampling, filters), not that nothing happened. The hint only appears when:
find_dropped_eventsis available in the session.Series with data in every bucket and list-style searches don't change.
DROPPED_EVENTS_DATASETSmoves toutils/events-datasets.tsso the tool and the search hint use the same list.via David Cramer.
