An A2A extension for support agents that answer other AI agents: an answer-only contract and an explicit "no answer".

An agent working for a person often needs an answer only an organization can give. Asking the organization's support agent is far cheaper than scraping its site, but the caller needs two guarantees core A2A doesn't express: that its question will only get a reply (no actions, no handover to a person), and an explicit "no grounded answer" instead of a guess. This extension adds exactly those, on ordinary A2A messages, without new methods.

The URI https://w3id.org/support-ask/v1 is vendor-neutral and permanent. This repository is the spec's home while it's a draft; once an A2A maintainer sponsors it, it moves to a2aproject as an experimental extension and this repository points there.
Issues and pull requests are welcome. Changes that break v1 go into a new URI (/v2).
