AI at human scale. Proven in Barbados. Built for the Caribbean.
I'm Matt — I build national-scale AI systems from Barbados through Dharach, the Caribbean Lab.
Small islands solve problems the rest of the world is still debating. Instead of importing Silicon Valley abstractions, I build and prove systems in real conditions: civic tech that serves thousands of people daily.
Live systems, not slide decks. Everything below is in production.
- Pulse — Live public-signal intelligence for Barbados. It listens to 10 FM stations, watches Instagram and TikTok, and reads news and government sources, with every answer tied to a source you can play.
- BimOmni — A Barbados-adapted multimodal model (Qwen3-Omni base + a LoRA tuned on 3,500 editions of the Barbados Advocate). Barbados knowledge: 61.7% → 75.0%.
- Yuh Hear Dem — AI parliamentary search with source-linked provenance (200+ videos, 105k+ sentences, 90k+ entities).
- Yuh Gettin' Tru? — Island-wide product search across 100+ retailers (340k+ products).
- We Outside 246 — AI events discovery from Instagram (40k+ posts, 6.5k+ events).
- Talk to Tali — Shame-free WhatsApp task manager for ADHD brains.
- alpha.gov.bb — Government services portal (launch team, GovTech Barbados).
- AI/ML — practical applications of vector search, LLMs, and NLP
- Developer Advocacy — helping developers learn, build, and ship better tools
- Building in public — shipping civic infrastructure from a small island
Previously: Arbitrum Foundation, Protocol Labs, Ripple, IBM.
Small islands aren't edge cases. They're proving grounds. Let's build something useful.
