What

  • A bot that is idle shows no state badge anymore (sidebar, crew cards, chat header). The slow flame already tells the owner the bot is free, and "Idle" next to every quiet bot was noise. Every other state shows as before.
  • The sidebar row's accessible name still says the state ("Scout, Idle"), so screen readers keep it.
  • The ready icon and its ring animation are gone (no other use).
  • When a bot leaves idle while the owner looks, its badge fades in (the existing animate-fade, 180 ms). A badge already there when a list or chat opens stays still, like the other arrivals (spec 15.3). Less motion stops it like every other animation.
  • Spec updated in the three places that described the idle state.

Tests

  • pnpm check passes (331 tests). New test: the badge fades in when a bot starts working, not when it was already working; idle renders nothing.
  • Checked in the fake preview: no badge for an idle bot; setting a bot busy fades its badge in, nothing animates on page load.

Nothing here depends on the real Claude Code.

A bot that is free shows no state: the slow flame already says it, and
"Idle" next to every quiet bot was noise. The label stays in the sidebar
row's accessible name. Drops the ready icon and its ring animation.
Only a badge that appears while the owner looks fades in; one already
there when a list opens stays still, like the other arrivals.
