Part 1 of the ideas from 2026-10-04.

When a bot writes down what it learned, the chat now says so instead of hiding it among the folded tool calls:

  • A finished Write/Edit/MultiEdit on the bot's CLAUDE.md (or .claude/CLAUDE.md) becomes its own line: "Updated memory for" + a pill with the bot's color and name.
  • The crew folder's and the work folder's CLAUDE.md read "Updated crew memory for" + the crew's name.
  • The arrow opens what changed: only the lines that left and came for an edit, or what the memory says now for a full write. When the input was cut (8.2), only "Show in files" stays.
  • Recognized in the app from the item's file, ignoring case and slash; no protocol change.
  • Spec 15.3 updated; the dev preview shows one on Scout.

Test plan

  • pnpm check (new memory.test.tsx: paths, diffs, chat rendering)
  • Preview: Scout's line opens the two added lines
  • Real Claude: ask a bot to "remember that I prefer tables" and see the line after it edits its CLAUDE.md

An edit to the bot's CLAUDE.md, or the crew's, leaves the folded tool
calls and becomes its own line naming whose memory it was. The arrow
opens what changed: the lines that left and came, or what a full write
says now.
