Part 7 of the ideas from 2026-10-04.

  • Terminal panel (features/terminal/): the commands the bot ran (its Bash/PowerShell calls) as a dark terminal window on the bot's desk, live. Shows what the bot said each is for as # comment, then ❯ command, then what it printed (red when it failed, "running…" meanwhile). It follows the newest command. Colors are --terminal* tokens, dark in both themes.
  • Dock: Browser, Terminal and Files as icons on a frosted strip, under the page on the browser and terminal desks, at the foot of the files panel and under an empty browser. The open place is marked. The browser's page room subtracts it (spec 21.8).
  • A command line in the chat gets Show in terminal.
  • BotView was at 300 lines: the side panel state moved to usePanel.ts, and the notices and details panel to BotPanels.tsx.
  • Spec 15.1 and 21.8 updated.

Test plan

  • pnpm check (new terminal.test.tsx: commands, comments, failure, live command, the dock; the browser room test takes the dock into account)
  • Preview: Writer's terminal on the blue desk with the dock
  • Real Claude: ask a bot to run a few commands and watch them land in the terminal

A terminal panel shows the commands the bot ran, live, as a terminal
window on its desk: what it said each is for, the command and what it
printed. A dock under the browser and the terminal, and at the foot of
the files, moves between the three. A command in the chat opens the
terminal. BotView's panel state and notices move to their own files.
