What and why

The README is about to be linked from a Reddit post, and it no longer matched what has shipped up to 0.14.0 (2026-10-08). Docs only: no code changes.

README

  • Status listed the question box and chat search as planned; both shipped in 0.10.0. It now lists what 0.14.0 has, and the only thing left under "Still open" is the code-signed installer.
  • What you can do never mentioned the phone page (0.14.0), desktop use (0.10.0), the Bot agency or connected tools (0.11.0). Each now has a bullet. There is also a bullet for questions from bots, and the chat bullet mentions Ctrl+K search.
  • Agents. All the Antigravity work (feat(agents): a bot has an agent (A0 of spec 30) #240–feat(agents): a default agent, welcome screen for any agent, full access, README #247) merged after the v0.14.0 tag, so no release has it yet. The tagline drops "on the agent you prefer". The intro, Agents, Get started, How it works, the FAQ and "Choose per bot" now say Antigravity is experimental and only on main.
  • Privacy. The "Local first" bullet and the account FAQ said the server only holds the sealed backup and that nothing is sent unless you send a copy. Since the phone page, the server also passes along sealed traffic between the computer and the phone, and it keeps the phones' names and notice addresses. Both now say so (spec 28.9). "Local first" also counts the websites and connected tools bots use.

Related docs

  • docs/code-signing-policy.md, which the README links for what goes over the network, gains an entry for a connected phone, and its "Your bots" entry now covers connected tools.
  • docs/spec.md: the status lines of 28, 28.12 and 28.13 still read as spec only. They now say what shipped in 0.14.0 and point to what is still unchecked, mainly the iPhone.

When a release first includes Antigravity, the README's "only on main" wording has to go, and the policy's "Your bots" entry needs an Antigravity line.

How it was tested

No code changed, so nothing was built or run locally; CI runs the required checks. Nothing in the code reads these files. Each claim was checked against:

  • the spec sections (8.8, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30) and the English UI text in app/src/i18n/en, for names such as Questions, "Connect a phone", Settings > Account and phone, Connected tools and Ctrl+Alt+Esc;
  • git tag --contains on each feature's merge commits, for the release it first shipped in;
  • the 0.10.0 and 0.14.0 release notes.

The Bot agency bullet says "dozens" on purpose: 0.14.0 has 58 roles and main has 129.

Checklist

  • cargo fmt, clippy -D warnings and cargo test pass (n/a: docs only)
  • pnpm check passes (if the app changed) (n/a: the app did not change)
  • New behavior has a test (n/a: no new behavior)
  • New interface text is in English, Portuguese and Spanish (n/a: no interface text changed)
  • docs/spec.md still matches the code

The Status section still listed the question box and chat search as planned; both shipped in 0.10.0. The feature list gains the phone page (0.14.0), desktop use (0.10.0), the Bot agency and connected tools (0.11.0). Antigravity is only on main, so the tagline, intro, Get started and Agents no longer suggest a release has it. The privacy bullet and the account FAQ now say what the server passes along for a connected phone.
…e network

Since 0.14.0 a connected phone talks to the computer through the cloud server, and since 0.11.0 bots can send to tools the owner connects. Neither was in the Privacy list.
Sections 28, 28.12 and 28.13 still read as spec only; the phone, its chats and the PIN lock shipped in 0.14.0.
