docs(proof-status): canonical active-vs-archived reconciliation table with estate grades - #195
Reconciles absolute-zero's active and archived proof-status claims into one canonical table in PROOF-STATUS.adoc.
Canonical table separating ACTIVE / ARCHIVED artefacts and proved / axiomatic / generated claims; OND-6 kept explicitly open (not proved, not assumed).
The historical "115 Qed / 0 Admitted / 61 Axioms" figures are attributed to the archived Coq tree (archive/proofs/coq/, archived 2026-10-10) — not active status, and not estate-wide proof-status ground truth.
Statuses use the closed proof-ledger vocabulary (hyperpolymath/standards3-practice/PROOF-POLICY.adoc §5) and estate grades (mathesis estate-mathematical-architecture §5–6): active Agda = proven at Grade 3; Z3 = tested-only (bounded); Idris 2 ABI = argued interface; archived provers = historical receipts.
Role clarified: absolute-zero is a consumer/domain formalisation; epistemic-types@5422cd5 is independent with no absolute-zero dependency, so cross-repo claims must name exact theorem scope and assumptions.
Sandbox receipts (2026-11-01): Z3 5.3.3 Z3-CHECK OK (sat/unsat/sat) reproduced in-sandbox; Agda/Idris 2/archived provers recorded as not runnable here (egress allowlist) and kept as CI receipts — nothing over-claimed; the --cubical-compatible Agda recheck stays an open obligation.
README / EXPLAINME / ROADMAP / docs updated to mark archived provers, historical counts, and re-point gates to proofs/verify-active-provers.sh.
Verification
bash proofs/z3/verify.sh with z3 5.3.3 → Z3-CHECK OK (run in this session).
Agda/Idris 2 legs remain CI-gated (proofs.yml); not runnable in the agent sandbox.
Summary by CodeRabbit
Documentation
Updated verification guidance to distinguish the active Agda proofs, bounded Z3 checks, and Idris 2 ABI build from archived Coq, Lean 4, Isabelle, and Mizar work.
Clarified that Agda proofs OND-1 through OND-5 have zero postulates, while OND-6 remains open; historical axiom counts now refer to archived work.
Added a canonical status overview covering evidence grades, scope, assumptions, and open obligations, and clarified which checks were reproduced versus unavailable.
Revised repository instructions and status descriptions to reflect the active verification stack.

Walkthrough
The documentation now identifies Agda, bounded Z3 checks, and the Idris 2 ABI as the active verification stack, and marks Coq, Lean 4, Isabelle/HOL, and Mizar artefacts as archived. It adds a canonical status reconciliation, clarifies proof grades and open obligations, and updates reproduction guidance.
The document records active and archived artefacts, proof-ledger grades, scope, assumptions, reproduction receipts, and open obligations.
Active and archived proof descriptions EXPLAINME.adoc, README.adoc
The documents distinguish active proof claims and evidence from archived prover claims and historical counts. They identify OND-1..5 as active Agda proofs with zero postulates and OND-6 as open.
Active gate and reproduction guidance README.adoc, ROADMAP.adoc, docs/MACHINE_VERIFICATION.adoc, docs/PROOF-COMPLETION-PLAN.adoc
The documents point to the active-prover gate and describe the former six-prover gate as historical or archived.
The documentation now correctly names the active proof stack, but several sections still describe archived provers or missing scripts as current. Readers following them could be misled about proof status or run commands that do not exist. Fixing these stale sections before merge is low effort and the risk is bounded.

| ACTIVE (CI `agda` job; `proofs/verify-active-provers.sh`)
| `proven` — **Grade 3**: type-checked locally in Agda, zero postulates, every file `{-# OPTIONS --safe --without-K #-}`; EchoBridge takes funext as an *explicit hypothesis*, not a global postulate. Not translated to any independent foundation, so not Grade 2+

Do not count the surrogate null predicate as OND-3
When the active Agda stack is used as the canonical receipt, this overstates its coverage of OND-3: proofs/agda/OND.agda never imports CNO and instead defines a separate is-null : Op → Set; OND3-cno-ond-independent proves independence from that local predicate, not from the active pillar's CNO.IsCNO. The roadmap defines OND-3 as depending on the existing is_CNO, so either connect the Agda theorem to CNO.IsCNO or stop claiming that the active stack discharges all of OND-1..5.

Describe the Z3 model's actual unbounded scope
The canonical scope description calls this a finite observation model, but proofs/z3/ond/OND_checks.smt2 declares the secrets, public input, output, and timing values as unconstrained Ints and adds no finite-domain bounds; it checks three fixed operation formulas rather than a finite set of bounded programs. Consumers of this proof ledger therefore cannot tell what was actually tested, so describe it as a fixed symbolic SMT model or add the stated bounds.

Update the executable verification procedure.
The status notice points to proofs/verify-active-provers.sh, but Step 2 still runs ./verify-proofs.sh and shows archived Coq and Lean output. verify-proofs.sh is absent at this revision. Replace the command and expected output with the active gate, or mark the complete procedure historical. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

*Archive notice (2026-10-10, reconciled 2026-11-01).* The active proof stack is Agda (`proofs/agda/`, `--safe --without-K`, zero postulates) + Z3 as a bounded-check solver + the Idris 2 ABI. Coq, Lean 4, Isabelle/HOL and Mizar now live under `archive/proofs/`; paths below of the form `proofs/coq/…` / `proofs/lean4/…` refer to the *archived* trees (`archive/proofs/coq/…` etc.), and counts such as "115 Qed / 61 Axioms" are *historical* figures of those archived trees. The canonical active-vs-archived proof-status table is link:PROOF-STATUS.adoc[PROOF-STATUS.adoc], which also records the estate proof grades (mathesis `estate-mathematical-architecture` §5) and the closed ledger vocabulary of `hyperpolymath/standards` (`proven` / `proven-with-postulates` / `tested-only` / `argued` / `open`): the active Agda proofs are `proven` at **Grade 3** (local strict-flag check, no independent-foundation translation), the Z3 bounded checks are `tested-only`, and OND-6 is `open`.

Complete the active-versus-archived rewrite.
The archive notice is correct, but the claim map still says proofs/verify-all-provers.sh orchestrates verification, CI gates Coq and Lean 4, and Z3, Isabelle, and Mizar are not run. The active workflow now runs Agda, Z3, and Idris 2. Mark this whole claim historical or rewrite it for the active stack. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Pin the Z3 receipt to the checked source revision.
The grading scheme requires receipts tied to commit hashes, but this entry records a working tree “over bb46232”. It does not identify the exact source that produced the result. Record the full checked-tree SHA or an immutable content hash. The repository records bb46232 and ad66f2c as separate commits. (github.com)

Replace the obsolete reproduction command.
The note labels the old per-prover sections as historical, but later text still uses VERIFIED (this environment) headings and tells readers to run proofs/verify-all-provers.sh. That path is absent at this revision. The active gate is proofs/verify-active-provers.sh. Update the headings and command, or link explicitly to the archived script. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

== *Z3, Isabelle, and Mizar are generated but not yet run.* The artefacts exist in-tree but are not part of the CI gate. Only Coq, Lean 4, and Agda are machine-checked in CI.
== *Active gate = Agda + Z3 (bounded) + Idris 2 ABI build.* `proofs/verify-active-provers.sh` (→ `ACTIVE-PROVERS-GREEN`) is the one-shot active gate; CI (`proofs.yml`) runs the Agda `--safe --without-K` checks, the expect-annotated Z3 bounded checks, and the Idris 2 ABI build.
