Handoff: standards#1284 is merge-ready; this session cannot merge it

Automated follow-up from a downstream consumer audit (metadatastician/berrywiki-course-template PR #5, merged as 89b70d99). Recorded here because this session's GitHub connection is attached only to the consumer repository — every write to hyperpolymath/standards other than issue creation returns 403 Resource not accessible by integration (merge, branch ref, contents, PR create/update, review, labels, comments). The merge itself was not performed.

Independent validation of #1284 (not "the tests pass" — the tests were proven to have teeth)

Two things a maintainer should decide

  1. fix(ci): declare HYPATIA_SCAN_PAT (un-breaks hypatia-scan startup on main) + Codex #1283 follow-ups #1284 and fix(ci): reconcile workflow contracts, repair lock resolution and nested callers #1285 conflict — both add the HYPATIA_SCAN_PAT declaration to hypatia-scan-reusable.yml and both edit tests/test_secret_scanner_no_inherit.sh (git merge → CONFLICT (content) in hypatia-scan-reusable.yml). They cannot both land as-is; fix(ci): reconcile workflow contracts, repair lock resolution and nested callers #1285 (d941b642) is the later lock/SHA work and is the natural base, with fix(ci): declare HYPATIA_SCAN_PAT (un-breaks hypatia-scan startup on main) + Codex #1283 follow-ups #1284's example-removal and test changes rebased onto it. Merging fix(ci): declare HYPATIA_SCAN_PAT (un-breaks hypatia-scan startup on main) + Codex #1283 follow-ups #1284 first leaves fix(ci): reconcile workflow contracts, repair lock resolution and nested callers #1285 needing a rebase.
  2. Consumer-side pin: berrywiki-course-template still pins secret-scanner-reusable.yml@74d2f66f…. The difference between that pin and the corrected e16a2317 is one comment-only hunk (non-comment content is byte-identical), so no repin is required for correctness; a later bump should be validated on its own merits.

Housekeeping — please close

Issues #1287 and #1288 are accidental probe artifacts created by this session while testing the write-permission boundary of this API connection (titles/bodies p and probe2, body text p/probe2, no content of substance). They could not be closed or edited from the session that created them, for the same reason described above. Please close them as not planned and disregard.
