I started as a .NET developer in 2006 and moved through Technical Leader, Software Architect and Chief Software Architect. Today I'm a Tech Manager at Globant, leading teams that build systems which can't afford to go down — 20+ person teams, architectures with thousands of users onboarded and real-time fleets. Cloud and DevOps came later, as tooling, not as identity.
On my own time I build algorithmic trading systems. Everything I trade is public:
5,600+ trades with curve, drawdown and profit factor — updated daily, nothing hidden. No return promises, no screenshots: the whole record, red days included.

Clients under NDA are described by sector. Metrics are real.
- Agritech fintech (LATAM banking group) - Full cloud architecture with Pulumi/AWS. 3,666 producers onboarded, 16K+ transactions
- Energy & logistics group - Led 20+ person team. Real-time tracking for a 1,500+ truck fleet on AWS microservices
- US EdTech platform - AWS/Azure ecosystem audit, performance optimization and security hardening
- Healthcare network (Peru) - Data pipelines with AWS Step Functions and Pulumi. Large-scale medical center ingestion
What I Trade:
- Penny Stocks / Small Caps - Main focus. Momentum setups, structure reads, high relative volume plays
- Futures - ICT methodology, automating fair value gaps and liquidity concepts in Python
- MetaTrader Bots - Multiple automated strategies with strict risk controls
How I Trade:
- Penny Stock Framework - Gap scanners, float rotation, premarket momentum, overhead resistance levels
- ICT Concepts - Fair Value Gaps, liquidity grabs, order flow for futures
- Quantitative Methods - Making discretionary patterns systematic through backtesting and statistics
The Goal: Apply 18+ years of building robust systems to trading. Make it repeatable, scalable, data-driven.
I have a full-time job I like — this is about the projects I build on the side, and I'd rather build them with people than alone.
What I'm working on: market data pipelines, reproducible backtesting, execution automation and LLM tooling for quant research. Some of it is in the repos above; the rest is in progress.
Who I'd like to hear from:
- Engineers who ship — Python, Go, cloud — and are curious about markets
- Traders with an edge who need it turned into a system that runs itself
- Anyone building quant infrastructure who wants a second pair of hands with 18 years of systems behind them
I'm not selling hours. If you're building something in this space, open an issue, ping me on Telegram or write to hola@jose.ar.
A few of these projects run in other people's production. If one of them saves your team time, sponsorship is what keeps them maintained — tiers and what each one includes are in SPONSORS.md.
The Discord is free and stays free. Sponsorship buys access to the working material, not to the room.
