The Open Computer Use updater resolves a new package version but fails its plugin check because the fresh checkout has no Harness-local tsc. Install and build Harness before plugin verification, using the same commands as CI. Both added steps run only when an update is detected; the build also supplies the generated Harness declarations used by the plugin.
Validation: locally simulated 0.3.1 → 0.3.6; dependency refresh, Harness installation/build, and plugin check/test/build passed (23 tests). Restored the package version and lockfile, then pnpm check, pnpm test, and pnpm build all passed. YAML parsing/step ordering and git diff --check passed. Local environment: macOS, Node 25.2.1; GitHub CI covers Ubuntu with Node 24.18.1.
Only .github/workflows/update-computer-use.yml changes (8 added lines).
