A timer for the 20-20-20 habit: every twenty minutes, look twenty feet away for twenty seconds. Keeps count of whether you actually did it. A timer, not health advice.
A feature for Mavis AI — a desktop voice assistant.
You: "open break clock"
Mavis opens it and stands its own panels down so they are not in your way. Say "show the interface" to bring them back.
From the Mavis Appstore — find Break Clock and click Install.
Or install it directly:
from utils.feature_install import install_from_github
install_from_github("https://github.com/keefng8/break-clock")- "open break clock"
- "start a screen break timer"
- "remind me to look away"
- "set up a pomodoro"
These are not matched word for word. Mavis gives them to its language model as examples of intent, so close variations work too.
Time is tracked as an absolute end timestamp, not a decrementing counter. Browsers throttle timers in background tabs, often to once a minute, so anything counting ticks silently turns a 20-minute timer into a 40-minute one - and a break reminder you are not looking at is exactly the case that has to keep working. It is a timer, and says plainly that it is not health advice.
None. A single HTML file — it runs in your browser, offline, and nothing leaves your machine.
