The error says the selected MiMo gateway phase itself rejected the web_search tool, and the report does not identify the exact MiMo model, request tool declaration, adapter route, or upstream documentation stating that this endpoint accepts hosted web_search. Please add a minimal redacted request (model plus tools entry), the exact response/status, and a primary-source capability reference. If the upstream supports only ordinary function tools, OpenCodex should not advertise or translate Codex hosted web search into a capability the gateway does not provide.

Fixed on dev by #5944, carried in bug-PR merge train batch 9B, #5985 (merge bf04176). Requests to Xiaomi MiMo destinations now drop the hosted web_search declarations MiMo rejects, matched on the destination hostname. Closing; please reopen if a build that includes bf04176 still gets the rejection.
