Pre-commit template should be compatible with pre-commit autoupdate --freeze #623

Closed

Description

@hombit

Our comments with hook versions corresponding to the hashes are not compatible with the pre-commit autoupdate --freeze output, which produces, e.g., "# frozen: v6.0.0" versus our "# v6.0.0".

    Can you provide a little more detail. I can see the incompatibility when I run pre-commit autoupdate --freeze, but I'm trying to figure out the best way to fix. Is this solely a formatting problem (we use a different string). Or is it causing actual execution problems.

    I'm happy to just chat about this in person next week if that is easier.

    @jeremykubica I'm not sure anymore that it is the right direction, I'm closing it
