Motivation
Right now the MapLibre example in the vector tile docs is Web Mercator only, and the XYZ projection page says NZTM2000Quad isn't supported by many third party tools. MapLibre GL JS 6.15 added
addProjection, which renders tiles in other grids.Modifications
Adds an NZTM2000 example below the existing MapLibre one, using the style with
tileMatrix=NZTM2000Quad, and a note on the XYZ projection page pointing to it.Left - Web Mercator, zoom 10 / Right - NZTM2000, zoom 8
Verification
Built the docs with
ghcr.io/linz/basemaps-mkdocs:v1, with no new warnings, and checked the example in Chrome. The NZTM2000Quad style, tiles and fonts load, and zoom 8 shows about the same area around Auckland as zoom 10 in the Web Mercator example.
