How We Use Microcks
At AXA France, we use Microcks as a key solution for legacy modernization, API dependency isolation, contract testing, and CI/CD pipeline automation across multiple engineering initiatives.
SoapUI & Legacy Modernization Harness
We use Microcks to modernize legacy SOAP/SoapUI applications by establishing contract testing early on. This secures our architecture and guarantees zero functional regression before and during refactoring.
Large-Scale Program: REST, OIDC & Generative AI Mocking
Across a major enterprise program, we rely on Microcks to mock complex external and internal dependencies including OpenAI LLM REST APIs and OIDC authentication providers. This enables offline, deterministic, and cost-controlled testing without hitting live cloud API quotas or incurring usage fees.
Async & Event-Driven APIs (Kafka)
We are expanding our Microcks footprint to support event-driven architecture, enabling mock generation and contract testing for Kafka message streams alongside our REST services.
Open Source Contributions (Testcontainers .NET & .NET Aspire)
To support our internal engineering requirements, AXA France actively contributes to the Testcontainers .NET (from
testcontainers/testcontainers-dotnet) and .NET Aspire (fromdotnet/aspire) open-source repositories, specifically driving integration capabilities and container orchestration around Microcks.
