background.js explicitly sets active: false. Could this be made inversely conditional on the browser.tabs.loadInBackground preference?
I prefer to switch tabs immediately and sometimes avoid using Open Link in New Temp Container Tab against my better judgment because opening in the same container means I don't have to perform a second action to visit the new tab.
The tab context menu item ("Reopen...") already resembles other built-in actions such as Duplicate Tab or New Tab Below/to Right and doesn't need to respect this preference.
