Summary

Records the owner-directed CS-RG integration-boundary revalidation of 2026-09-27 for the next session. Documentation only, two files under docs/handoff/. It is a record for the owner's decision, not a design decision: it approves no architecture, starts no work unit and changes no ledger status.

Files

  • docs/handoff/2026-09-27-cs-rg-boundary-revalidation.md: state of the open PRs, the owner's fixed inputs, main conclusions, what is open, how to continue, evidence locations, pitfalls.
  • docs/handoff/2026-09-27-cs-rg-boundary-revalidation-analysis.md: the reviewable reasoning, with evidence levels: review disposition, corrected findings, reap-first safety versus operability (backed by existing native tests), the candidate R message sequence and its gaps, authority-mediated results, the client session-socket window, what X and Y do and do not solve, supervising-helper and group-anchor variants, candidate and support matrices, remaining decisions and procedural corrections.

Revision history in this PR

  1. Initial handoff.
  2. Stopped pinning a regenerated manifest hash.
  3. Hardened after the owner's review: no route is presented as supportable; reap-first is recorded as safe against false release but not operable for the confirmed tracking-loss pattern; the session-socket window is a prerequisite of every route; RB/RC are incomplete candidates; the request to re-approve fixed principles is dropped; the not found and base-versus-head statements are corrected.
  4. Corrected after the 2026-09-28 owner follow-up: conditions on the reap-first failure are stated explicitly; unchecked Rust/macOS FD-creation semantics are no longer presented as source facts; RC no longer treats exit status as proof of payload exec; D6 cannot be waived as an N2-compliant route-level risk; Linux off is separated from governed/required; and the dated decision list points to the living trackers for later owner directions, including permission to evaluate external dependencies and flexible upstream pins.

What did not change

No other file, unit, ID, status value or work count (48 units, 25 groups). milestones.json, product code, pins, dependencies and CI are unchanged. The hold notices are in #12; this PR touches none of its files.

Verification

  • python3 scripts/check_docs.py: passed (17 reviewed pairs, 48 work units, 25 logical PR groups).
  • git diff --check: clean. No local absolute paths; English only.
  • Source links point at fixed revisions read during the review; the native test results cited in the analysis come from the macOS job of CI run 36311129096.

Merge and rollback

Merging requires the owner's explicit approval of the exact head. #11, #12 and this PR share the base. Merging one advances main but does not change the others' heads; under the owner's merge rule each remaining PR is re-verified against the moved base, and any update of its head needs a new approval. Rollback: revert the commits.

Related: #12 (hold notices), #11 (independent test fix), CodeSpace #75 (hold notices).

Handoff (session of 2026-09-27)

…2026-09-27

The owner-directed review of the CodeSpace/DevGuard integration boundary
stopped at a decision packet. Record its results for the next session:
the owner's fixed inputs, the state of the open PRs, findings with links to
fixed revisions, the gap resolution with excluded options and surviving
candidates, the recommendation, the decisions still needed, how to continue
and where the evidence is kept.

This is a handoff, not a design decision: no architecture is approved, no
unit is started and no ledger status or count changes.
…ment

Apply the owner's review of the decision packet, checked against source:
- add a companion candidate analysis with the review disposition, corrected
findings with evidence levels, the reap-first safety-versus-operability
state analysis (backed by existing native tests), the candidate R message
sequence and its gaps, the meaning of authority-mediated results, the
client session-socket window, what X and Y do and do not solve, the
supervising-helper and group-anchor variants, candidate and support
matrices, and the decisions that remain
- rewrite the handoff so no route is presented as supportable, drop the
request to re-approve fixed principles, and correct the "not found" and
  base-versus-head statements

Still a record for the owner's decision: no architecture is approved, no
unit is started and no ledger status or count changes.
