Merge development into main (v1.4.0) - #52
Conversation
Minor release: ed-acp-tauri gains the external stdio agent and the ed-claude crate is new. The release skill now lists both crates in the pin list and explains how to publish a new crate's first version. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Cut the pitch essay, showcase list, API walkthrough and crate tables. Add badges, an install section and a "Use it your way" list that now covers ed-acp-tauri and ed-claude. The quick start no longer pins a version. The API detail lives in crates/ed-agent/README.md. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Release 1.4.0
Slim the README to match our other repos

Version bump from 1.3.5 → 1.4.0 across the workspace Cargo.toml (all eight internal crate deps bumped in lockstep), plus a README rewrite that replaces the old long-form prose with a centered logo header, crates.io/Swift/CI/license badges, condensed install and quick-start sections, a flat crate listing, and contributing/license sections. The release SKILL doc gains a new "Adding a new crate" section documenting the manual first-publish-then-OIDC workflow for crates.io trusted publishing (RFC 3691). The SKILL doc's example workspace-deps block also picks up ed-acp-tauri and ed-claude, matching the real Cargo.toml. The version bump and dep updates are internally consistent. The README badge URLs and crate links are the main thing to eyeball for correctness.

Brings main up to v1.4.0: the release bump from #50 and the README rewrite from #51.
v1.4.0 is tagged on the #50 merge commit. The crates.io publish and the Swift XCFramework build are running from that tag.
