Summary

The roadmap's second goal is to finish the everyday workflow first: add data, style it, edit it, analyse it, print or share it. I ran that loop end to end on main, with layers from other systems in, edits and analysis in the middle, a printed layout and exported files out. I then compared each place it stopped with the roadmap. Most of the stops are already listed. This PR adds the ones that aren't, one line each in the theme where they fit, marked (open) where they're self-contained.

The additions follow four ideas:

Each line says what's missing today, so it still makes sense once the parts around it land.

Clean-up after v0.4.0:

Testing

Docs only. Each new item was checked against main at c9efee9; the defects found along the way are fixed (#854, #857). cargo xtask ci and the pre-commit hooks pass.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Documentation
    • Updated the roadmap to move Georeferencer work to “Next” and remove the Labeling pane and Windows 11 startup failure from their previous sections.
    • Added a planned newcomer tutorial covering common mapping, editing, saving, and print-layout tasks.
    • Expanded the roadmap with upcoming data management, vector analysis, mapping, editing, export, geocoding, and DEM download capabilities.
    • Clarified that label classes are managed in the Labeling pane.

Name the steps the everyday workflow still stops at that the roadmap
didn't list, one line each in the theme where they fit: a date type,
File Geodatabase domains, Esri JSON, adding a table to an existing
GeoPackage, relative project paths and Repair Data Source, editable
standalone tables, managed-install settings, Spatial Join match options
and merge rules, summary fields on Dissolve and Summarize Within,
tabulate intersection, polygon cut/reshape/trace, the US Census
geocoder, vector PDF, layout legend control, fixed-scale map series and
task tutorials.

Clean up after v0.4.0: the Labeling pane moves from Underway to Done,
the closed opengeos#375 leaves the robustness list, and the docs pass names the
drift it can find today.
