fix(render): marks along a line on the globe follow it up to the horizon - #907
On the globe, the marks of a marker or hashed line (#900) now follow the same bent, horizon-cut points that globe_line draws the line along.
Before, marker_runs projected only the line's own vertices. A line whose far end is behind the globe had no marks at all, even on the part that shows. Its marks also ran along straight screen chords instead of the drawn great-circle curve.
This follows up CodeRabbit's outside-diff finding on #900 (crates/render/src/lib.rs:727-729), which arrived after that PR had merged.
marker_runs on the globe walks globe_vectors (the line densified along great circles) and cuts a run at each horizon crossing, as globe_line does. The flat map is unchanged.
New test markers_on_the_globe_follow_the_line_up_to_the_horizon: a line from lon -30 to lon 120, seen over lon 10. It fails on main (no marks) and passes with the fix.
fmt, clippy (-D warnings), cargo test --workspace and cargo xtask layers pass locally.

Walkthrough
Ctx::marker_runs now handles globe views by projecting densified line geometry and splitting marker runs at horizon crossings. Flat-view handling is unchanged. A test checks markers on the visible part of a globe line.

Explanation
The title names the main change: marks on a globe line now follow the line up to the horizon. It uses the fix() prefix and a specific scope. It is concise and clear, and it matches the raw summary and PR objectives, which describe globe marker_runs walking globe_vectors and splitting runs at horizon crossings.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description covers the purpose and the change. It explains that globe markers now follow the horizon-cut points used by globe_line, and it notes that the flat map is unchanged. It names the new test and states how that test fails on main and passes with the fix. It gives the local verification results (fmt, clippy, cargo test --workspace, cargo xtask layers) and links the follow-up to #900. The template has a Testing section and a Summary section, and both are filled in. The Related issue section is not present as a labeled heading, but the description references #900 and #907 in the body, so the related issue is covered in substance. Minor gap: no explicit 'Related issue' heading, and the Testing section does not mention a ui_shot screenshot, which is optional.

I reviewed PR #907, which changes only crates/render/src/lib.rs. It makes Ctx::marker_runs follow the same bent, horizon-cut points on the globe that globe_line draws, so line marks no longer vanish or float off the line there.
Bugs
No bugs found, with high confidence. I compared the new globe branch with globe_line (crates/render/src/lib.rs:494):
The visible→hidden, hidden→visible, visible→visible and first-point-visible cases all match.
A run is closed at the horizon crossing and a new one starts at the next crossing.
Non-finite coordinates are dropped in globe_vectors, and hidden→hidden points are skipped.
The branch has no indexing, unwrap or panic.
Security
Nothing to raise.
Performance
Nothing significant, low concern. Each part is densified once through globe_vectors, the same cost as drawing the line.
Quality
Duplicated state machine (low confidence, nit): the visible/hidden/crossing logic now exists in both globe_line and marker_runs. A shared iterator over horizon-cut point runs would stop the two drifting apart. This is optional.
Test strength (low confidence, nit): the test only asserts that more than 20 distinct x columns contain red. It would pass if marks also appeared on a wrong path. Checking that no red appears beyond the horizon, or comparing against the stroke path, would pin the behaviour down more tightly.
AGENTS.md
No unwrap, expect or unsafe in non-test code, and no UI strings were added.
The new test is a regression test for the new behaviour.
I did not run cargo xtask ci, since I have no Bash tool.

This PR makes line markers follow the globe's bent, horizon-cut line. Ctx::marker_runs gets a globe branch in crates/render/src/lib.rs, and there is one new regression test. I found no bugs or security issues. I did not build or run the code or the new test.
Bugs
None found. The new branch splits the line at the horizon the same way globe_line does:
A visible-to-hidden step ends the run at the crossing point.
A hidden-to-visible step starts a run at the crossing point and the vertex.
Two visible points continue the run.
Non-finite coordinates are skipped in globe_vectors.
A trailing run is flushed after each part.
It uses Run::new(..) with extend, which suggests Run::new returns an Option for runs too short to mark. I did not open line_markers to check that.
Confidence: medium-high. I read globe_line and globe_vectors for comparison, not line_markers::Run or the vpx helper.
Security
None. This is internal rendering code with no new inputs. It uses no unwrap, expect or unsafe, and no indexing.
Performance
Nothing notable. globe_vectors allocates a Vec per part, which globe_line already does.
Quality
Duplicated horizon-cut logic (low). The state machine repeats globe_line's. A shared helper that yields the visible polylines would keep the two from drifting apart. It could be left for a follow-up.
Scaling (low, unverified). The branch multiplies by ppp through its own px closure, while globe_line goes through self.vpx. If vpx scales differently, markers would sit off the line on HiDPI screens. The test only uses pixels_per_point: 1.0. A second test at 2.0 would catch this.
AGENTS.md
No violations.
The change adds no UI text and no dependencies.
There is no wasm-incompatible code.
It adds a regression test.
The PR doesn't say whether cargo xtask ci was run.
