Summary

  • Bumps sdk/python/pyproject.toml version from 0.0.0 to 0.0.1 to prepare for the first tagged release, v0.0.1.
  • Required ahead of tagging: publish.yaml's validate-python job fails CI if the pyproject version doesn't match the pushed tag.

Test plan

  • Merge this PR to main
  • Tag main as v0.0.1 and push the tag
  • Confirm Validate and Publish SDKs workflow passes (validate-python + validate-go), and that the derived sdk/go/v0.0.1 tag gets created

Prepares the Python SDK's pyproject.toml version to match the upcoming
v0.0.1 tag, as required by the validate-python job in publish.yaml.

can you also add a note for it - modifying pyproject.toml version before creating and pushing tag to main as part of the .md file or the publish script ?

Clarifies in README.md and the publish.yaml header that
sdk/python/pyproject.toml's version must be bumped and merged before
tagging a release, since validate-python fails on a mismatch.

Yes, and also if we decide to move to PyPi, then this version bump is not needed.

States the pyproject.toml bump-and-merge-before-tagging step as a
repeatable release step (not just for v0.0.1), so it applies to every
future release such as v0.0.2.
