Summary

This PR updates README.md and README_zh.md to reposition Squid from an active coding-centric agent to a personal proactive desktop agent for engineering, general workplace tasks, and digital daily life (生活工作向的个人主动智能体).

Key Changes

  • Project Positioning & Value Proposition:
    • Clarified that Squid is not an autonomous coding agent limited to code authoring, but an ambient, long-lived desktop personal companion for general engineering, workplace documents, and everyday tasks.
    • Expanded sensory perception descriptions across four real-world dimensions: working documents & project assets, task scripts & automation pipelines, desktop UI/foreground context, and web research & business portals.
  • A Day with Squid (Real-World Scenarios):
    • Scenario 1: Cross-app workflow synthesis (web briefs, customer requirements, tickets -> local documents/spreadsheets/specs).
    • Scenario 2: Engineering & automation script failures (CLI failures, Python scripts, batch jobs -> instant root cause & input correlation without manual log pasting).
    • Scenario 3: Interruption recovery via episodic context memory.
    • Scenario 4: Proactive personal assist for file triage and repetitive organization.
    • Scenario 5: Absolute discretion (permission to do nothing) & automatic privacy shields (password managers, banking).
  • GUI Mockup & Diagrams:
    • Replaced coding-only references (watching /home/user/projects, VS Code saved api-client.ts, bun test) with general workspace elements (/home/alex/workspace, project-roadmap.xlsx, sync-data.py, browser architectural brief).
    • Updated badges to Autonomous Personal Agent / 个人自主智能体.
    • Updated sensory ingress diagrams to reflect documents, terminal tasks, screen UI, and filesystem.
  • Validation:
    • bun run typecheck passes.
    • All 811 tests pass offline.
