Summary

This PR addresses two core CI/CD and developer velocity improvements:

  1. Support Stable Releases in .github/workflows/release.yml:
    • Previously, the workflow trigger tags: ["v[0-9]+.[0-9]+.[0-9]+-*"] and validation scripts enforced mandatory pre-release suffixes (*-*). Stable release tags such as v0.1.0 or v1.0.0 would fail to trigger or fail during manifest stamping and publish.
    • Broadened tag trigger pattern to v[0-9]+.[0-9]+.[0-9]+* and updated the semver validation.
    • In publish, dynamically detect whether the tag is a pre-release (*-*) or a stable release. For stable releases, publish with --latest and omit --prerelease.
  2. Optimize CI Daily Dev Velocity in .github/workflows/ci.yml:
    • Added paths-ignore: ['docs/**', '**.md', '.gitignore'] on both pull_request and push: branches: [main].
    • Pure documentation or metadata edits will no longer spin up expensive Windows 2025 and Linux Rust matrix runners (avoiding 10~15 minutes waiting time).
  3. Enhance Local Smoke Dev Experience in src/ui-smoke.ts:
    • bun run ui:smoke now automatically probes ui/target/release/squid-ui first, then falls back to ui/target/debug/squid-ui if only a debug build exists, eliminating the need to supply the path explicitly during development.

Verification

  • bun run typecheck passed cleanly.
  • bun test passed (812/812).
  • cargo fmt --all -- --check & cargo clippy --locked --all-targets -- -D warnings passed (0 warnings).
  • cargo test --manifest-path ui/Cargo.toml passed (102/102).
  • Visual UI smoke test bun run ui:smoke passed end-to-end with automated debug fallback.
  • Simulated tag version parsing for pre-release (v0.1.0-alpha.1) and stable (v1.0.0, v0.1.0) cases.
