[Feature]: Hide "close keyboard" bar #1420
Description
Problem Statement
Whenever I open a keyboard I have a "massive" bar for a single button with an arrow on it to close the keyboard. This is wasted space and pushes the keyboard upwards making me lose screen real-estate.
Proposed Solution
Would it be possible to add a toggle to enable and disable this bar?

Additional Context
I know there used to be a system package you could uninstall this bar but this seems to be gone, at least on Android 17. I have tried other things to hide/remove it but haven't found anything useful.
Would be great if this could be done without root using shizuku or something.

I think this can't be possible since this is tied directly with AOSP (Android Open Source Project), AOSP is the barebones version of android that handles how the OS renders, buttons and so on, maybe I'm wrong but from my understanding this isn't possible 🤔

Unfortunately this is not possible unless the keyboard itself attempt to move UI a bit below like Essentials keyboard does

Ah, that's a bummer. I hate google and their commitment to be the absolute worst for Android in every aspect. Thank you all for your hard work and making my experience better overall, you're appreciated more than you think.
