This problem was first encountered with Localsend (localsend/localsend#3162) when transferring to macOS.
I encountered the same issue when transferring with Localsend and Warpinator to Linux Mint from a Samsung S24Ultra (Android 16/OneUI 8.5).
It made no difference whether the DCIM folder was selected and transferred with Localsend or Warpinator, or whether the photos were selected in Gallery and shared with Localsend.
However, if the photos were selected in Gallery and shared with QuickShare, then received with rQuickShare on LM, the geotags were transmitted.
Transferring photos from a Motorola Edge 50 Neo with Localsend had no problems, so it seems to be a Samsung bug or feature.
