P1 — reconciles the whitepaper with the deployed code where the review found drift, using a status section rather than rewriting the paper's interlocking economic proofs.

  • Stale version note ('v1 live / v2 target') → v2 deployed + activated; 0 tasks; sim-validated.
  • New Implementation Status section (authoritative): deployed addresses + 'audited fixes on main, not yet redeployed'; spec→code name map (confirmTask→startTask, checkLiveness→detectFailure, commitCheckpoint→commitCheckpointBatch, settle→internal); and deliberate divergences: graduated treasury slashing (supersedes 100%-to-operator, with rationale — formal §7.5 derivations flagged for re-derivation), advisory governance param store, appeal-window finalizeDispute.

Deliberately not rewriting §7.3/§7.5 game theory inline (that assumes the original slash schedule — a research revision, tracked). The arXiv copy is a separate drifted file, reconciled with arXiv prep.

Backlog: P1 paper drift (§7.3 slash, §8 governance, Implementation Status, spec↔code map).

…n note

Addresses the review's 'no Implementation Status', 'spec names != code names', and
'slash/governance drift' findings without silently rewriting interlocking proofs.

- Version note: 'v1 is live / v2 is the target' -> v2 is deployed + activated;
  points readers to the new status section for code divergences; notes 0 tasks and
  sim-validated (not production) results.
- New Implementation Status section (authoritative): deployed addresses + 'audited
  fixes on main, not yet redeployed'; a spec->code name map (confirmTask->startTask,
  checkLiveness->detectFailure, commitCheckpoint->commitCheckpointBatch, settle->
  internal); and the deliberate divergences — graduated treasury slashing (supersedes
  100%-to-operator, with rationale; formal derivations to be re-derived), advisory
  governance param store, and appeal-window dispute finalization.

The arXiv copy (PUBLICATION/arxiv/cairn-whitepaper.md) is a separate drifted copy;
reconciling it is tracked with arXiv prep.

Marks P0 (CI #56, license #54, ABI #55/#57, demo numbers #55/#59, false claims #58)
and P1 (one-true-story #60, whitepaper Implementation Status #61) complete, and the
#41-#44 housekeeping closed. Remaining: pipeline event names, redeploy, and the P2
design/SDK/arXiv items (deferred, need decisions).
