Summary

  • On visible-device refresh, check each device for a software update via the Automation API.
  • Card banner: Update when allowed; license CTA + WebUI link when Gatekeeper blocks (e.g. Voyager 2 without Pro license); poll while an update runs.
  • Depends on Pro allowlist for latestRelease / update (see companion Pro PR).

Test plan

  • CircleCI / pytest passes
  • Local: 38 pytest cases including license-blocked and start-update routes
  • Manual: open dashboard — visible cards show update state without a separate Check click
  • Manual: licensed / Voyager 3 path can start update; unlicensed Voyager 2 shows attach-license CTA
  • Confirm this works only against Pro builds that include the allowlist change
