WalkthroughThe task runner now handles local and remote cache failures without stopping task execution. It also detects external fileset changes, uses them in affected-project selection, and stores hash snapshots in the Vis cache directory. ChangesCache resilience

186-216: 🚀 Performance & Scalability | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick winWarn on unusually broad external filesets.
External filesets intentionally support paths outside the workspace, so
file:///is valid configuration rather than a containment violation. However, it resolves to/, and the current code traverses and hashes every readable file below that root on each invocation.collectFilesskips ignored child directory names but has no file-count or size bound.Add a diagnostic for unusually broad external patterns. Do not silently truncate the fileset, because all declared files must remain part of the hash. If a bound is added, fail with a clear configuration error when it is exceeded.

File-set inputs could name files outside the workspace, but their resulting cache keys embedded the absolute checkout path, so the same input produced a different key on every machine and an external change was not comparable across runs. Resolve file:// and glob:// patterns through one shared resolver, walk the external directory, and key the files relative to the workspace. External and in-workspace inputs now share a deterministic spelling.
Changed files are derived from git, so edits under a directory outside the workspace never reached the project mapping. External file-set inputs now carry their owning projects alongside the cache key, and affected detection compares their content hashes with the previous run to decide which projects changed. The snapshot is stored under the workspace data directory. A first run with no snapshot treats the owning projects as affected rather than assuming their external state is unchanged.
A 502, a dropped connection, a timeout, or any other transport error from the remote cache surfaced as a failed task even though the task itself never ran. Remote caching is an optimisation, so a failed read or write now degrades to a miss and the task runs normally. The backend factory wraps both the HTTP and REAPI backends, converting every thrown operation into a miss and reporting through one shared sink. The reporter fires once per run, so a flapping cache produces a single warning instead of one per task. Errors raised by the task command do not pass through this boundary.
Creating the cache directory can fail with EACCES (or EROFS, ENOSPC, ENOTDIR) and previously either crashed setup or surfaced later as a per-task write failure. The Cache constructor now creates the directory once; on failure it disables the instance for the process, reports the directory and the error through onSetupError, and leaves every read a miss and every write a no-op. Because all local cache callers construct Cache, the fallback applies in one place rather than being patched per operation. Tasks continue to run normally without caching.

Summary
Four related fixes in the task runner and Vis's affected selection:
file://andglob://patterns are resolved through one shared helper, and external files are keyed workspace-relative so cache keys stay portable. Changes to those files now count toward the task hash.vis affectedandvis run --affecteduse the same external-input ownership map as the hasher. Changes are detected by comparing content hashes with a snapshot stored beside the cache entries. A first run with no snapshot treats the owning projects as affected rather than assuming they are clean.onUploadErrorhook still observes every failure for debug logging.Cache.ensureReady()creates the cache directory once. If that fails (EACCES, EROFS, ENOSPC, ENOTDIR), the cache disables itself for the run and reports the directory and error, and tasks continue without caching.Tests
