Hi, I'm Sam Watson. I'm currently studying Post-Secondary Education at Memorial University and the former Vice-President of the Memorial University Computer Science Society (MUNCSS), where I helped lead the society out of dire straits before resigning in June of 2026. Though I maintain the duties of the Vice President until the end of the Fall 2026 semester.
I build cool things in Python, Java or C++. The classic trio of languages. Python is my best language by far, C++ is great and I'm fairly intermediate, and I'm still decently new to Java. I'm more than willing to learn other, more niche languages depending on interest or usecase.
I'm looking to give back to the open-source universe, one commit at a time. You may find me lurking in issues and PRs, poking into the OSS world with my little fixes where I can. I tend to be pretty awkward about opening issues or pushing fixes and all.
I'm also developing games in C++, which is cool! Once those are worth releasing, you may see Steam Store page links show up here!
If you're working on something in Python, C++, or Java and need an extra pair of hands, I'd love to hear about it. Just email me, my address is on my profile! Details are preferred, I may not respond to vague emails with little substance, or mail I may find suspicious.
