Declare Fjalar's two core functions locally instead of including pub_core headers - #97

fjalar/mc_main.c includes pub_core_aspacemgr.h (for am_is_valid_for_client) and fjalar/typedata.c includes pub_core_mallocfree.h. These are deliberate, but they made the post-regtest header check fail on every run. Allow exactly those two includes; any other pub_core include in a tool file is still an error.

…core headers Fjalar needs VG_(am_is_valid_for_valgrind) and VG_(arena_free), which have no pub_tool_*.h interface. Declaring them in mc_main.c and typedata.c satisfies check_headers_and_includes without modifying that upstream Valgrind file, so Valgrind merges need not carry an extra change.
fjalar_core_decls.h holds the copies of VG_(am_is_valid_for_valgrind), VG_(arena_free), and VG_AR_DEMANGLE. A rule in fjalar/Makefile.am compiles that header together with pub_core_aspacemgr.h and pub_core_mallocfree.h, so the build fails if a Valgrind merge changes a declaration. Document this in valgrind-merge.texinfo.
Make each fjalar program depend on fjalar_core_decls.stamp instead of listing the stamp in BUILT_SOURCES, so that targets such as 'make fjalar-amd64-linux' also run the check. Correct the header's path in doc/valgrind-merge.texinfo.

- Line 196: Add fjalar_core_decls.h to an appropriate Automake distribution
variable in Makefile.am so it is included in make dist archives and its stamp
prerequisite is available during archive builds. Keep the change scoped to this
new header; do not add unrelated existing headers.

The header check that
make regtestruns after the tests (valgrind/tests/check_headers_and_includes) forbids tool files from includingpub_core_*.hheaders. Two Fjalar files did so, so the check failed on every run:fjalar/mc_main.cincluded../coregrind/pub_core_aspacemgr.h, forVG_(am_is_valid_for_valgrind)fjalar/typedata.cincluded../coregrind/pub_core_mallocfree.h, forVG_(arena_free)andVG_AR_DEMANGLEThose core facilities have no
pub_tool_*.hinterface. This PR replaces the two includes with local declarations of exactly what each file uses. The upstream Valgrind checker is unchanged, so future Valgrind merges need not carry a Fjalar-specific modification to it.The cost is that
typedata.cduplicates the value ofVG_AR_DEMANGLE(3); a comment says it must matchpub_core_mallocfree.h.This removes 2 of the 29 post-test-check errors that #96's
check-regtest.shreports, so they won't need to go on its expected-failure lists. This PR is based on
masterand doesn't depend on any other open PR; it can land in any order with #96–#101.Testing
perl tests/check_headers_and_includes .invalgrind/: exits 0 (was 1, with the two errors above).gcc -fsyntax-onlyon both edited files: no errors.pub_core_aspacemgr.handpub_core_mallocfree.halongside the local declarations compiles, and assertsVG_AR_DEMANGLE == 3; so the local declarations match the core ones.
